"Arrow" 24x30

“Arrow,” Bari Wieselman Schulman, 24" x 30" x 1.5" acrylic + paper on canvas

“Arrow” tells a story of patiently nurturing nascent ideas, giving them space to grow at their own pace, in their own way, and then greeting the burst of color, sound, and thought with unfettered openness...

Pushing boundaries with color, contrast, and texture is a common thread within Bari’s work; she is consumed by the sensory and psychological intensity itself and the demands it places on both creator and observer. Bari’s process is deeply intuitive, her works characterized by a visual and tactile intensity that sparks an exquisite tension. Drawing from a background in psycholinguistics, design, and writing, her pieces urge the viewer to unreservedly dive into this rich sensory and intellectual narrative and transform from curious observer into dialogic participant, with color as the lingua franca.
