Part of my 2025 “BrAvery” Collection, this piece is inspired by the unimaginable strength, resilience, and bravery of our 3-year-old daughter, Avery, as she underwent brain surgery this spring for a tumor. Her spirit through it all has blown us away, and we’re beyond relieved and grateful for the positive outcome—her tumor was fully removed, and it was benign.
The weekend before her surgery was filled with intense mental noise—fear, hope, and a flood of emotions I could hardly process. I held on tightly to words of encouragement from our amazing community and reminded myself over and over: bravery and hope are greater than fear. Like this painting, I crossed out thoughts of worst-case scenario and focused on hope and positivity. This painting captures that moment in time—one of the hardest of my life—and channels it into something powerful and bright.
