"Joy in Motion" emerged from a special commission request to expand my "Joyful Connections" gestures into larger formats, challenging me to explore new tools and techniques that have led to results I'm thrilled with. This collection came to life during a time of significant transition—the onset of fall and my daughter’s start of a preschool prep program. This period of change nudged me out of my comfort zone, much like the creative process behind these pieces. As I navigated the mix of discomfort and excitement that comes with stepping into the unknown, my art mirrored this journey. "Joy in Motion" not only captures the dynamic energy and fluidity of movement but also symbolizes the beauty and growth that come with embracing change, both in life and in art.
