“Day play we play all day,” Acrylic, Spray paint, Crackle, and Oil Pastels in Spray-painted upcycled Vintage frames, 2023
I was inspired to try spray paint after an amazing collaboration with some artist friends and the “bouncing balls” are my first go at using this new exciting medium in my work! This piece is inspired by my daughter as she has transitioned to the toddler world and expanded her horizons with new forms of play. Her fascination with balls and careful study of new objects is nothing short of absolutely amazing. Seeing this sense of play, curiosity and awe through her eyes is the greatest gift as a parent.
