Learning the Lines 2026

Learning the Lines 2026 is a collection born from a small but meaningful milestone: my four-year-old daughter learned how to color within the lines – and discovered that structure doesn’t limit imagination, it can ignite it.

What began as an exercise in control quickly became an explosion of color. Instead of restraint, the lines became a framework for fearless choices: radiant pinks beside electric blues, sunlit yellows meeting deep violets. Her drawings felt hopeful, joyful, and full of confidence – like possibility made visible.

This collection mirrors that moment of growth. Using bold gestural linework and childlike chunky oil pastel strokes, each piece reflects the beauty of learning something new and trusting yourself enough to be bold within it. The work celebrates the tension between freedom and form, play and practice, instinct and intention.

As I step into her most colorful body of work to date, this collection also marks a personal leap – expanding my business, my scale, and my creative voice. Learning the Lines is not about staying small or contained; it is about discovering that confidence can live inside structure, and that growth can look like joy.
